The key points
CallRecords provides information to help you understand reporting patterns. It does not verify a caller’s identity, determine whether a number is safe or make decisions on your behalf.
1. About the service
These terms apply to your use of the CallRecords website. By using the service, you agree to these conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
CallRecords provides phone-number complaint summaries, reporting trends, call topics and location-based comparisons. The public service currently does not require a visitor account or payment. It is an independent information service, not an official complaint-resolution channel.
2. Information, not verification
Use the service as an informational resource. Consumer reports are unverified, caller ID can be spoofed, records may contain mistakes and coverage depends on the records we have imported.
We do not provide verified subscriber names, ownership records, background checks or a guarantee that a displayed number placed a reported call. Reports are not proof of misconduct. A number without matching reports is not necessarily safe.
The service does not provide legal, financial or emergency advice. Read our Data Disclaimer before drawing conclusions from the reporting summaries.
3. Permitted and prohibited use
You may browse the service to understand reporting patterns and make your own informed decisions about unfamiliar calls. Use the site lawfully and respect the rights of others.
- Do not use the information to harass, threaten, impersonate or falsely accuse a person or organization.
- Do not treat these summaries as a basis for credit, employment, housing, insurance or other eligibility decisions about an individual.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access, bypass administrative restrictions, interfere with the service or submit malicious requests.
- Do not collect information in a way that disrupts availability or misrepresent unverified complaint statistics as verified facts about a subscriber.
4. Your decisions and external services
You are responsible for how you interpret and use the information. Verify unexpected requests through a contact method you independently trust; do not rely on caller ID or complaint counts alone.
External links are provided for context or reporting options. Third-party websites control their own content and practices. A link does not make CallRecords responsible for a third party’s service or establish an endorsement.
5. Content and attribution
The CallRecords name, site design and original explanatory content must not be used to imply an affiliation or endorsement without permission. Public records and third-party references may have their own terms or notices.
When sharing a CallRecords summary, preserve its reporting period, source-date context and limitations. Do not alter or quote a summary in a way that falsely identifies a caller or turns an unverified report into an accusation.
6. Availability and changes
Features and reporting coverage can change. The website may be unavailable during maintenance, data updates or technical failures. We do not promise continuous availability, complete coverage or a particular update frequency.
The service may restrict requests that threaten its security or availability. Restrictions do not change the meaning of a complaint record or establish that a searched number is safe or unsafe.
7. Limitations and your rights
The information is provided as available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, CallRecords does not warrant the accuracy, completeness or suitability of reporting summaries for a particular purpose.
You remain responsible for decisions you make using the information. Nothing in these terms excludes legal rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Updates to these terms
Changes to these terms will be published on this page with an updated revision date. Review the current terms when using new or changed features. Our Privacy Policy separately explains the information used by the website.
